World Cup Votes 2026 Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 6, 2026

World Cup Votes 2026 is a fan voting app for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This policy explains what data the app handles.

Data We Collect

No personal data is collected. The app does not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or any other personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics SDKs, and no advertising.

Vote Data

When you cast a vote, a record containing only the team or player identifier (e.g., CPV or cristiano-ronaldo) is saved to iCloud's Public Database. This record is anonymous — it is not associated with your Apple ID, device, or any personal information. Vote records are visible to all app users as aggregated tallies.

On-Device Storage

The app stores the date of your last team vote and last player vote in UserDefaults to enforce the one-vote-per-day limit. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us.

Third-Party Services

The only external service used is Apple iCloud CloudKit (Apple's own infrastructure), used to store and retrieve anonymous vote counts. Apple's privacy policy applies: apple.com/privacy.

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes.
