Enter age (years), AST (U/L), ALT (U/L), and platelet count (10⁹/L). The app computes FIB-4 = (Age × AST) / (Platelets × √ALT) using the Sterling et al. formula (Hepatology 2006). Results are classified as Low (<1.30), Indeterminate (1.30–2.67), or High (>2.67) risk of advanced fibrosis.
Enter age, BMI (kg/m²), AST (U/L), ALT (U/L), platelet count (10⁹/L), albumin (g/dL), and whether the patient has impaired fasting glucose or diabetes. The score uses the Angulo et al. formula (Hepatology 2007): NFS = −1.675 + 0.037×Age + 0.094×BMI + 1.13×IFG/DM + 0.99×(AST/ALT) − 0.013×Platelets − 0.66×Albumin. Cutoffs: <−1.455 low, −1.455 to 0.676 indeterminate, >0.676 high risk.
Enter AST (U/L), AST Upper Limit of Normal (default 40 U/L), and platelet count (10⁹/L). APRI = (AST / AST_ULN) / Platelets × 100 (Wai et al., Hepatology 2003). Cutoffs: <0.5 low, 0.5–1.5 indeterminate, >1.5 high risk of significant fibrosis or cirrhosis.
All three calculators display a color-coded risk badge and a cutoff reference table below the result. Green = low risk, amber = indeterminate, red = high risk.
FIB-4 & Liver Fibrosis is intended for educational and reference use only. Results should not be used as the sole basis for clinical decisions. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals.
